Jessica Paulson
Junior Analyst
Jessica Paulson joined the Grove Insight team in the late winter of 2007. She's now an integral participant in the research, construction and analysis of polls and focus groups. She is also a trained moderator, having graduated from the RIVA Training Institute, considered the “gold standard” in the qualitative research industry. Around the office, Jessica is the queen of the final check – you’ll rarely if ever find an error in our reports, thanks to her keen eye.
Jessica is also deeply involved in the Green side of the operation, helping IF Green with marketing, web design and customer outreach. She was instrumental in helping us launch a new furniture line at the PDX Lounge at Chicago's Green Build Expo.
A graduate of University of Oregon, Jessica sports a major in political science and a minor in communications. After graduation, she worked in her home town of Seattle as membership coordinator for the Washington Food Coalition - emergency food providers committed to developing new programs, helping to provide additional food for individuals and families in need, and informing the public about hunger issues. While still in college, Jessica got her hankering for politics as intern with Washington Governor Gregoire’s Office during the summer of 2005. She also built up a taste for change as the intern for the Center on Diversity and Community on the University of Oregon’s campus.
Somehow, Jessica always seems to be in the know - whether it's a story about to break in a hot race, how a law we helped pass is being implemented, or the scoop on the hippest new restaurant. On weekends she loves hitting Portland's fantastic farmers markets, hosting dinner parties, and chowing down on her favorite food – ice cream. Good thing she’s also a fan of running, yoga, pilates, swimming, and ballet. And if you can’t find her at the ice cream shop or the gym, she’s probably at a U of O football game – go Ducks!
