L Oregon College Savings
Since its inception, Grove Insight was a critical player in the Oregon College Savings 529 program. Our research helped the Oregon Treasurer’s office target and market this innovative savings method to parents, by determining which of its many elements were most appealing to savers. From its initial rollout in 2001, our strategic advice has helped make Oregon’s 529 the fastest growing plan in the country. Indeed, firm Principal Lisa Grove twice presented our successful, research-driven strategy to conferences of western Treasurers. We continue to provide polling and ongoing strategic consultation to this important Oregon institution by conducting statewide rolling customer satisfaction surveys, as well as elite interviews among a select number of customers and unconverted leads to help determine future needs and expanding services.

Oregon Humane Society
Grove Insight helped set the stage for a successful OHS capital campaign to fund a state-of-the-art teaching hospital adjoining the Humane Society’s Portland shelter. From 2001 to 2003, we conducted research assessing attitudes among OHS’s donor community and veterinarians in the Portland metropolitan area on this one-of-a-kind partnership between OHS and the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine. The results helped determine the viability of a joint venture between the two institutions and helped craft a message strategy for enhancing support for the collaboration. As OHS put it, “A dream came true at the Oregon Humane Society with the official opening of the nation’s first Animal Medical and Learning Center” in September 2007.

Glass & Associates
A turnaround management firm with offices across the country, Glass & Associates has turned to Grove Insight on a number of occasions to provide strategic advice to their firm, their clients (corporations in financial trouble) and their trade association. We were first hired to determine the viability of Vancouver-based Cadet Manufacturing in the wake of bad publicity around a pending product recall. Then, Glass brought us in to provide public opinion and strategic advice for their national organization, the Turnaround Management Association. In addition, we have conducted two research projects for Glass to better understand how they fit into a highly competitive marketplace.

Portland Trailblazers
Grove Insight has conducted weekly tracking polls for the Portland Trailblazers to assess public perceptions of the team. Our research helped the team market to season ticket holders and assess game attendees’ views of their experience. The results have given the Trailblazers a better understanding of the demographics that make up their season ticket holder base, as well as providing a strategy for marketing efforts aimed at potential season ticket holding fans. We have conducted similar work for the Seattle Seahawks.
