Former Oregon Governor Ted Kulongoski
Grove Insight served as pollster and lead strategist for Ted Kulongoski’s 2002 gubernatorial victory over well-known (and well-funded) Republican Kevin Mannix – despite being outspent by over $1 million. In 2006, Grove Insight served in the same capacity on the team that pulled off Governor Kulongoski’s big win over challenger Ron Saxton. Kulongoski’s campaign was again significantly outspent by his opponent; the Saxton camp aired a record number of attack ads starting in the summer. That same year, the firm also created the message framework for the “Oregon Roadmap” strategy to successfully elect a Democratic majority to the State House. We continue to advise Governor Kulongoski as he sets his priorities for the state.

Former Congressman Brian Baird
In 1998, we helped elect Congressman Brian Baird in Washington’s Third Congressional District, the number-one targeted race in the nation for both parties. With our help, Baird defeated his opponent by eight points, despite more than $2 million dollars in negative ads aimed at him by the Republicans. We continue to poll and offer strategic advice to Congressman Baird.

Congresswoman Susan Davis
Grove Insight helped state Assemblywoman Susan Davis defeat one of only four incumbent Republican congressmen in the nation to lose in 2000 – Rep. Brian Bilbray in San Diego. The political newsletter, CalPeek, rated this race as the year’s “biggest upset.”
